Getting Started with Canva

  • Create a free Canva account

  • Navigate the dashboard and template library

  • Explore the difference between designs, templates, and folders

Working with Templates

  • Choose an appropriate template for a social post or flyer

  • Change text and images in an existing template

  • Save a design under a new file name

Basic Layout & Design

  • Add and format text (font, size, colour, alignment)

  • Insert and resize images and shapes

  • Apply basic colour choices using the colour picker

  • Use the position and alignment tools

Exporting & Sharing
